Pretty ignorant to this type of stuff, but my 13yo has an iPad, and iPhone she got for her 13th bday. I’ve already seen they talk in their own language, and hide apps under different icons from others.
Just wondering what are some of the better apps to have to monitor her outside of taking them from here time to time, and that type of thing?
Thanks

If you or your wife has an iPhone, you can control everything about your daughters Apple ID. You can set screen time limits, app permissions, and what she can/can’t do.
We have my daughters phone locked down to so much screen time per day and she has to ask permission through the device to download a new app. My wife or I have to approve that app for her to get it.

quote:I'm guessing the native Apple controls are the superior option. For Android, the native app is Family Link, and it's pretty good. (Pretty annoying that they don't cross play with each other).

And here's something you might not have thought of: pay attention to any heavy use of Google Docs. They think they're clever for using them to exchange surreptitious messages (sort of like Petraeus did with his side piece and Yahoo mail). Basically, they type the message on a shared doc, the other party can read it and then erase it...NEVER HAPPENED!!!

How do you protect them from what they could possibly look up on Safari? I’d like to restrict Safari completely but have not been able to find out how.
