Sharp TV Troubleshooting

I have a 70" Sharp TV and yesterday I noticed the volume on the remote wasn't working. Then I noticed nothing on the remote was working nor the side buttons on the tv itself. I've recycled power and they will work for about 30 seconds and then just stop altogether. Has anyone else experienced this or have a clue what is wrong?
