Samsung TV on/off issue

Bought it last July(still within 1 year warranty). TV is turning itself off/on after 30 minutes of use. Called samsung and lady said I had to update tv's software. My TV doesn't even connect to the internet. But I think it's gotta be a hardware issue(capacitor likely). I got a vizio from 2011 that works fine without any software update.
Seems like they're not wanting to send a technician to look at it.

That's a bad capacitor no doubt

That's what I thought. Sucks that the Indian woman on the phone didn't agree.

Same thing Just happened to mine. I replaced the bad capacitors and it works perfect now. The wife called Samsung first but they were useless. I told her to buy the parts and I'll do it.

I just went through this with Samsung, if you call them raise alittle hell with them and they will transfer you to executive customer support. It mite take some persistence but they will fix or replace it. It took me two months for a tv that was out of warranty. And take notes, because you will be calling alot. If you need any help my email is laslabjohn16@yahoo.com email me your number and i will give you some info.

Thanks John for the input. I just got off the phone with them. After 15 minutes of "trouble shooting", the guy said that my warranty expired. I told him it's still within 1 year of purchase. He asked the purchase order to be emailed to him which I did.
It's kind of funny that I couldn't understand his English with his Indian accent. He took it as rude when I asked him to repeat. But when I talked, I told me to do it slowly as his English is not good. Hmmm...

Hey bud no problem. But I guarantee you this is just the beginning. The next person you talk to will not have a clue that you and the indian ever talked. Your gonna have to talk to ecr. The man you talked to is there to try and get you off the phone. I have five pages of notes and names.

I had a 58 inch 8000 series plasma. By the time we were through i ended up with a 65 inch 8700 led curved screen. Persistence is key. Cantact me when you need info.
