Ring doorbell trouble (multiple motion notifications)

I've had 3 ring video doorbells for almost two years now, and they've been fine until the last few months. Now I usually get THREE notifications for every motion event. Maybe 25% of the time I get only 1, very rarely I get 2, but the majority of the time it's 3 of them. And not just on my phone, but also my wife's phone and our echo speakers announce it 3 times.
There are lots of posts online about multiple notifications, but most of them seem to be solved by reinstalling the phone app (which obviously wouldn't solve my echo problem), or doing a factory reset on the doorbell (which I've done multiple times on each), or fixing some wifi trouble (signals are good). Nobody seems to have the same problem that I do.
I called ring support but they were worthless as expected, just reading the same fricking info that I found online.
The only thing I can think of is maybe there's a weird interaction with the doorbells and my ubiquiti wifi, but I've tried all sorts of stuff, fiddling with settings, created an ssid just for the doorbells, etc. Nothing has helped.
Anybody else dealt with this?

Maybe unlink Alexa from Ring and try. Do the doorbells only show up once in Alexa app?

They only show up once in the alexa app.
I guess I will try disabling the ring skill in alexa, but given that the ring app on my phone also notifies 3 times I'm don't think that will solve the problem.

Sounds like progress to me then. Remove Alexa permission from the Ring app now.

Don't see how even more notifications is progress!
And it only did it that one time so far. Today it seems to be working alright, getting only 1 notification on most events even though I haven't changed anything else. But who knows what tomorrow brings!
If it were consistent that would obviously help with troubleshooting, but it's pretty random. I think amazon just has something fricked up on their end. The security part of the ring system seems to work just fine and I've been happy with it, but the doorbells have really turned me off.
I should have known better because I hate locking myself into a vendor for something, and the inability to tie ring cams into the rest of my camera system along with the random problems has reminded me why I hate doing that. I'm going to begin the process of replacing them with a more open platform. The wife and kids really love being able to see live video via the echo show, so hopefully I can figure out a way to make something work as well with another doorbell cam.
