Replacing iPhone screen

I wanted to know the best route to replace an iPhone 8 screen. Should I go through apple or go to CPR (Jackson, MS)? Is it possible to have malpractice doing this? I would appreciate any help.

I'd probably go through apple... Looks like it only cost $149.
I recently tried to replace my wife's myself. The phone had other damage as well and it ended up being a failure.
You'd only save ~80-90 trying to do it yourself, and I'd assume a 3rd party shop would likely charge at least $75.
