Question for the cellphone gurus...

Is an Apple phone that much better than say and Samsung phone?
I'm on the ledge of swapping over from Samsung to Apple because of as of lately, my Samsung is not receiving text messages if they are part of a group text. Can't figure out why.
If I can get that remedied then maybe I'll stick with it, because if I swap over then that's just step 1 of 4... yep, all the phones in the family would need to swap.

That's not your Samsung. I've had the same issue now for about 2 weeks. I'm on a Motorola with T-Mobile. My wife has a Samsung and she gets all the family group texts. For me, it's only some group texts. Others work fine.

Nope. It just depends on the ecosystem and apps you want to use.
Apple has better support for creative apps land Samsung has a better variety of apps available to do basic tech stuff.
Seriously though, they’re phones and probably <1% of users even remotely take advantage of their high end capabilities. Samsung and Android in general give more opportunities to match your specific needs with a sensible device while Apple games you by gapekeeping rather basic features behind premium product lines.

You probably need to do this:
Now that most apps are not bought, but subscribed to, the walled garden is pretty weak to keep you on either iOS or GoogleDevilStore.

Steps to Reset Network Settings
Follow these steps to reset network settings on Android 9.0 or higher:
Open the Settings app.
Tap on System.
Select Advanced.
Choose Reset options.
Tap on Reset network settings.
Confirm by tapping RESET SETTINGS.
Important Notes
After resetting, you will need to reconnect to Wi-Fi networks and re-pair Bluetooth devices.
Ensure you have the necessary passwords and information to reconnect to your networks.
This process can help restore connectivity and resolve various network-related issues on your Android device.

Well when I go to the Settings App, there isn't nothing regarding "systems".

Just drop in at the store of your carrier and ask them to reset your network settings. I've never used Android.
