Question about digital TV antennaes

We are looking at "cutting the cord" at our house but my wife is adamant about keeping the local channels. We live in the boonies of Miss. (yeah I know) and are 60 miles as the crow flies from Jackson, MS where the towers to the networks are. Does anyone know or have any experience with those digital tv antennaes? i.e. will they pull in a signal good enough to make the SO happy or am I stuck with DirecTV and/or sleeping on the couch? Thanks in advance and have a great day....

I have a Terk brand one in living room and bedroom. It is pretty good but is hit and miss. I live in the city, FWIW. In one location I can get ABC, NBC, and Fox- when I move it a few feet I can get CBS and not the others.
There are also a ton of random channels I didn't even know existed. Overall it does the trick. I get the aforementioned channels crystal clear.

Thank you. I checked and all we can get are the PBS and such type of channels, no networks at all. Bummer. Now I will have to figure out how to get network tv through the internet but can't figure it out. Anyone have any ideas? TIA

I'm in Summit MS about 65 miles from Jackson. Cut the cord over a year ago. I use a Clear Stream 4 antenna and a channelmaster amplifier and pick up 22 station Including all 4 major networks out of Jackson.

Check into PlayStation Vue. It's like $30 a month and you get a bunch of channels with a DVR

Thanks for the info 61. I live just up the road from you near Ruth in the Topisaw community. We are closer to Jackson so this antenna should work for us. I was looking at it online yesterday and curious if it would work as well as they say it will. Literature stated it would pick up 34 channels from our house and that the Clear Stream 2Max would pick up 27 at only $60 instead of the $150 they want for the 4Max. The only difference in reception is the 4Max picks up some very obscure channels the 2 doesn't.
Again thanks for verifying this for us. Have a great day....
