Question about cable plans and SEC Network

So I'm considering jumping from PSVue to DirectTV Now because of the PSVue price hike and the possible discount I'd get from DirectTV Now with my cell plan but there's one concern.
If I were to get the 60 channel option ($35) that doesn't include SEC Network, would I still be able to watch SEC Network on the Watch ESPN app? Or does it lock you out since it's not part of your cable package?

No. Your login will only give you access to the channels available on your plan.
I’m going to sign up for the bigger package for the months during football season then back off to the lower plan.

That sounds like a good idea. I completely ignore SEC Network outside of watching football games in the fall.

Yes. You can download the ESPN app and enter your DirecTV Now account information and get everything there. All SEC channels are included.

Only if you pay for the package that contains the sec network.

This is correct.
I do the same thing. I use the smallest package year round expect for the fall then I upgrade to the next size package for football and sec network

I find SEC Network to be more important during Basketball and Baseball season.

You can also upgrade to Hulu Live if you have Hulu and use it. It includes SEC Network in our region + like 40 of the most popular cable channels. Costs $40/month and includes Hulu's streaming library
