Powerpoint animation question

I have 3 spheres on a slide with a single large letter positioned in the middle of each. How can I click on that letter and make it shrink/move to the beginning of a word that appears in the sphere.
For example I have a sphere with a large P in it. When I click I want the P to move to the beginning of the word Personal within the same sphere.
Any tips would be appreciated.

So you want ersonal to appear after the P?
Or do you want the P to move to the left as ersonal appears on the screen?

P to move to the left because it is currently centered, and then ersonal come up after it.

I found Motion Paths which looks like it may do what I need. Wonder if I could shrink down the original size of the P also during or after the motion.

Definitely doable. You will need to add several animations to two objects (just talking about (P) and "ersonal").
(P) will get the Emphasis Animation of Grow/Shrink (you can mess with different percentages of shrinkage in the Additional Effects Options box - if the presented Smaller or Tiny settings don't fit you needs).
You can also set the Trigger to be on the click of the slide (if the order of all of your words will be consistent - this is recommended, otherwise you can miss your targeted letter by accident and advance to the next slide) or you can set it to trigger on the click of the specific letter you want to run.
You will also need to add a Motion Path (straight line should be fine for your purpose) that occurs with the "Grow/Shrink" animation.
"ersonal" you need to set with an "Entrance" animation (Fade, Wipe, Appear, whatever) and have that trigger "after previous" with the (P) animations. You could also have it set to trigger "with previous" and delay it until right before the (P) motion path ends (can help give something a little more polished look.
I would recommend doing each on their own slide while you set them up, to help avoid confusion when you have 3 ovals and 3 text boxes to choose from and try to keep track of. This, or names open up your Selection Pane and give each object an easy to understand name (such as "P Circle" and "ersonal").
