I know there are some Plex/Kodi users here and wanted to make sure that ya''ll were aware of recent developments with CoreELEC. CoreElEC is a special version of Linux you can put on some AndroidTV boex that just runs Kodi. You can integrate Plex with a plugin.

They have achieved full Dolby Vision playback including profile 7 FEL along with full audio support. Basically, that means you can now get results exactly like that of an UHD disc in a high-end player, nothing is lost, changed or discarded. Play a remux file and you lose nothing at all audio or video.

You can dual boot certain Android/Google TV players or just set up a player as a dedicated CoreElEC player. They have it working on the Kinhank G1 which is $60 on Aliexpress.

If you are after the best possible picture/audio this is the way to go.
