Plasma problem

Have a really nice Panasonic 65” VT50 plasma with great contrast, blacks, etc. about 9 years old.
Moved it from den to bedroom and placed it facedown on bed to attach wall brackets. Put it in wall, no problem.
However, it suddenly seemed to have lost contrast and color intensity. Washed out. I was crestfallen. A great TV went to crap in less than an hour.
Did it loosen a board, “seep out plasma gas” or what?
Bummed out. Any hope?

By the way, I replaced it in den with Sony A80J 77” OLED that is absolutely astounding. Reminds me of the feeling I had when I first got my Pana Plasma.
