I have the official Google charger at home and a belkin in my truck.

The truck doesn't say fast charging or make a sound when I plug it in but it will charge my pixel in like 30 minutes flat.

The Google charger at home says "fast charging"and makes a little sound when plugged in but takes 2-3x as long to charge.

Wtf. So 3rd party chargers are better than the OEM?

Just shop for fast chargers online, I wouldn't worry too much whether it's OEM..

I stored away all of my 3 foot standard cables and replaced with 10 foot fast charging cables, best charging cables Ive ever had.

Dammit, why the frick do you keep saying charger? Pretty sure you mean cable but the adapter/port/receptacle is what's gonna determine how fast it charges. What's the amperage of your truck's port and whatever you have in your house?

Not sure what you're saying but the outlet is a typical 15A plug. Google says the block and the cable both contribute to the charging speed, not just one or the other.

I know we kinda discussed amperage of receptacles affecting charging speed awhile back.

The adapter/port/receptacle reduces the amperage to somewhere between 1A and 4A (I think). Standard is around 1A, fast charging is 2.1A, and I know I recently saw more than 2.1A, I'm thinking 4.2

Fast charging cables can handle at least 2.1A. If the port/adapter/receptacle puts out more amperage than the cable can handle it either doesn't work or eventually gets hot until it catches fire (been there a few times with cheap cables).
