Phone randomly broadcasts to Chromecast?

Only happens when I have my wifi on. Sometimes I'll be browsing and notification pops up saying broadcasting or connected to Chromecast. If I exit out of the notification thing it immediately pops up again. I've never set my phone up to any other devicdevii cant find anywhere on the settings to turn it off.

Someone else in your house streaming to chromecast? If a Chromecast is active in my house (someone else using it from their phone), I'll see it in my notifications and have the ability to control it.

live in n apartment. theres like 7 devices that show up for me to pair up with
one of them is always popping into my notifications and I'll have a play and pause button. it'll say I'm connected. I'm not familiar with chrome cast but not if its broadcasting my phone to their device or if their connecting to my device or what.

You all use the same network? The notification would someone on the network streaming to a Chromecast. Theoretically you could pause or stop your neighbor's show.
The notifications are a new thing. Started noticing them last month, and I still haven't decided if I find it more useful than annoying. You can disable it. LINK /

I've had nightmares about this happening. Bound to be a scene in a movie soon if it's not already. Dude goes to bathroom to wank while watching phone... phone is connected to Apple TV/bluetooth speaker/whatever with grandmother in living room. Hilarity ensues.
