Phone for pops - Pixel?

He's on the Samsung Galaxy S7 right now and it's time. He doesn't need a S20 or whatever. I'm kinda thinking about the Pixel series. 4a is like $400. Should I look at an earlier model? He doesn't need 5G.

It's a great phone for the grandparents /parents who don't need every bells and whistle.

Just saw a BF deal through Samsung. He gets $105 for his S7 
but the S20 FE would cost him $495 and he'd get some other swag. Anyone have the FE version?

Just went from note8 to fe. Bigger screen in a smaller chassis. Couldn't find a reason to pay $300 more for regular s20

Just saw a 50% off Pixel phone deal with trade-in so I think I'm gonna go that route for him.
