I have a feeling I'm getting my kid in trouble at school this week. It's "Spirit Week" at his middle school, so I took just over 0.5m of 60 LED/m leds and we put them on his school issued chromebook. I took a D1 mini that I had loaded with WLED. We didn't assign a wifi network so it defaults to the standard WLED Ap and password. I showed him how to hook it to the LEDs and how to log in to it with his chromebook to change the animations.
Yeah, he'll be a hit with his friends, but this isn't going to end well for him...

My wife wanted me to light the house red, white and blue last we to honor Charlie Kirk and the British thing they had going over the weekend. When I fired them up, i noticed the lights on the far end of my setup were kinda dim.
Climbed up on the ladder and they were less than 3 volts. One of my power injection connectors must be having issues.
So last night I ordered 100' of 14awg wire and ran it to the far end of my setup. I had the kid pull it out the soffit for me where i already have a couple security cams installed.
(He helpef me a ton, but mangled the soffit in the process. Lol)
Tested them tonight and they've never been brighter.

Just finished up 400 feet of govee pros. I have net and curtain lights to set up for Christmas, to go along with my 200 foot of ground lights. I leave them on white 99% of the time, I love that warm glow on the house.

Bumping this one as it's that time of year. My power supply crapped the bed since Halloween. The 4020 12v fan in it had been dying for awhile. So I ordered an Amazon replacement. Figured it would be an easy swap. Well when I cracked open the case turned out it was only getting 6.8v. No big deal, I'll just order the 5v version of it. Well it decided to lose all voltage at that point. Then I noticed all the mosfets had pulled off the case taking their thermal paste with them. At that point I said to heck with it and ordered a new one.
I'm going to attempt to WLED some C9 lights I purchased off Amazon. They come with a generic app and remote control, but so long as the are individually addressable and have power, data, ground, I should be able to do it. Theses will be for path lights up to our front yard. Will update.
