Password/Encrypted Folder Free Download

Any recommendations for a free download that will create a folder that is password protected. Even better if encrypted.
Looking for something similar to the old My Private Folder that was put out by Microsoft.

I am aware of that but anyone half knowledgeable with computers can alter the .bat file to get into this folder.

What are your requirements, and what is your environment?
I'm all into FDE of every single drive and am not really up on encrypted folders, but if you have Bitlocker in Windows and aren't concerned about portability, you could create a VHD and encrypt it. The VHD will exist as a file on a hard drive and mount as a drive in Windows. This looks like a good tutorial:

The problem with containers is data leakage. I don't want to worry about carelessly copying a file out of an encrypted container to an unencrypted location or decrypted data somehow ending up in temp files, the pagefile, etc, so I use FDE for all my drives.
