Sounds good.

You should be getting that 100 MBps out of your setup. Any perceivable sluggishness could be, and probably is your PC.

Yeah i think it's just my work computer is a POS.

the tablets and tvs are all working much better now. It's only been 3 days now but havent' had any device not be able to connect and stay connected while using it. That was not the case before. I almost threw away the Vizio tv in my sons bedroom b/c it was constantly not connecting to the internet and i'd have to unplug it to reset it. It's worked every time now.

Is your work computer a desktop PC? If so, might be worth an upgrade or two, if possible.

well that's not really up to me. When i say work, i don't mean fun and games self employed work at home. I mean actual work with a company issued POS Dell.

Gotcha.

I don't know your work, company, or situation, but any chance they'd let you use your own computer for your work? To me, the cost was well worth it when compared to the frustration of a subpar machine. Of course, if it's against policy, that's a moot point.

there's no helping with that.
We still use an older version of Internet Explorer b/c they won't update our internal management system to a different browser or even the updated IE.

Kind of pathetic for a company that does $20B a year.

I hear ya. It always amazes me how resistant to change some organizations can be. I understand that there are budget and downtime concerns, but eventually, you have to look at upgrading as an investment, not a cost.
