Nintendo Switch won’t connect through AVR

As title says, my Nintendo switch is not working through my Yamaha AV receiver. It worked until, I moved the switch to another room and tried to reconnect.
I have tried multiple cables, even unplugging components that are working and plugging switch in there place. I’ve found some others that have experienced similar issues, but no remedies.
The switch works fine when plugged directly into TV.
Any ideas?

Additional info:
The switch sound plays when connected directly to AVR and AVR powered, pass thru not working and no display when TV is on AVR input.

I recently had some many problems with ours docking and connecting to the receiver I had to just buy a new one.
They say on the troubleshooting it has to be plugged in in a specific sequence, maybe give that a try if you haven’t already
