Hai.
I decided to ditch the panoramic combo from Cox and go with an arris sb8200 alongside Google mesh WiFi.
What had happened wuz..... I did the self activation for the modem and it worked fine on the laptop until I moved to another port. Then I got a 169. IP. Smart TV and FireTV wont communicate either. Frick. What sort of voodoo can I work so I can set up the wifi?

Each port needs its own IP IIRC. You have to get Cox to give you two (pay for them). You can only use the original port. Plug that into your Google WiFi, and then plug the Google WiFi into your laptop or a switch if you want more ports
