Need a New Laptop- What to Get?

The hard drive on my wife's 6 year old Dell laptop crapped out last night, so we are in the market for a new one.
Here is what she uses it for:
Youtube videos
Itunes
Microsoft Office
Pictures
Watch DVDs
She doesn't like a touchscreen, and I would prefer to keep the price around the $500 mark.
What should we get?
Will this one be a good fit? LINK

I would look for something in that price range that has an SSD.
For everything you listed, 1TB is likely overkill anyway.

Always been a fan of Asus laptops.
Here is a recommendation that has an SSD.

Look at the one posted above. 256gb is kind of the sweet spot for storage space if you don't have a ton of apps, videos, or photos.
Anything smaller and you better be comfortable using cloud storage or an external drive.
