Mini Fridge Question

Not sure if this should be on the OT or here. But I just got a new office at work and I have a big cabinet that can fit a 1.7 cu. ft. Mini fridge in it. The cabinet is made of wood (not particle board) and only has an opening in the back for a power cable to come through.
Is it safe to put a new mini fridge in this cabinet? It would have over 6 inches space on the side and I think close to 2 inches in the rear, but is that enough space for air flow? I don’t want it catching on fire or anything.
Thanks!

there should be no issue...assume maybe you'd leave cabinet open from time to time?...facility mgr at last job customized a cabinet/tabletop for one of my areas with about the similar amount of space...never had any issue...

I’d leave the cabinet closed at all times other than to get stuff out of the fridge.

Is that one of the little cube ones? That should be plenty of space for one. I know those dorm room models are put inside an enclosure all the time. They don't need much space.

Yea. It’s a 18”x18” all fridge one by magic chef or black and decker

You need to consider if water from a defrosted refrigerator due to a power outage would do damage to the wood cabinet.
