Microsoft Edge page keeps popping up and covers half the screen whenI am on a site. At first I assumed it was a hack, but may just be some kind of advetising. I have tried rebooting multiple times to no avail. Any thoughts? How do i eliminate this?

I use Google as my Browser and also have Opera. Edge has seldom been used. How do I uninstall it?

From a quick Brave search... hope this helps...
Note: These methods will not completely remove Microsoft Edge from your system, but they will disable it and prevent it from reinstalling itself.

Uninstall Microsoft Edge
Microsoft Edge is deeply integrated into Windows, making it impossible to uninstall it completely. However, you can remove it as a default browser and prevent it from reinstalling itself. Here are the steps:
Method 1: Remove Microsoft Edge as a Default Browser
Right-click on the Microsoft Edge icon in the Taskbar and select “Unpin from Taskbar”.
Right-click on the Microsoft Edge icon in the Start menu and select “Unpin from Start”.
Set a different browser as your default browser (e.g., Brave, Mozilla Firefox, Mullvad).
Method 2: Disable Background Processes
Open Microsoft Edge and go to Settings > System and Performance.
Turn off the option to run background extensions and apps when Edge is closed.
Method 3: Use the Registry Editor (Advanced)
Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.
Type “regedit” and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\EdgeUpdate.
Create a new DWORD value named “DoNotUpdateToEdgeWithChromium” and set its value to 1.
Restart your computer.
