MacBook Pro Kernel Attacks and shutting down...

I bought my MacBook in 2012 and never had an ounce of trouble until this week. It keeps shutting itself down due to kernel attacks. It restarts every time but at some point usually within ten minutes of being on it restarts itself with the same error message every time it boots up.
I did the PRAM and that did not fix it.
I have ran disk Utility; first aid and it came back fine.
I have tried running diagnostics but get an error message for internal and internet diagnostics. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The message is kernel attack caches/Apple.com.xbs.xnu along those lines

try reinstalling the OS.

Any warning signs? I had one that would start running the fans on high before it happened. Took the cover off the bottom and blew out the fans and it stopped happening.
Also try running a RAM diagnostic - you may have a bad chip.

It's a Mac, why do that?

I did. Spent 2800 on a new Mac. Still wanted to keep my old one because of ease of use. I am now running Mojave on the old one but it’s running slow as hell. No more attacks but it’s definitely not the same. Sucks.

Pop in an SSD and maybe more memory--you'll be amazed.
