MacBook charging port that takes MagSafe charger is broken

Does anyone have one of these and can tell me what’s wrong with it?
I charged it this morning then used it in class. Went to charge before my next class and the charger wouldn’t go in
I texted these pics to my cousin and he said it looked like a paper clip was stuck in it. My classmate said it looked like the metal was bent. I think that’s supposed to be in there

It looks like you broke the entire front plate and connections off the port.
Edit: Should look like this, you can buy them and replace it.

Dang. My cousin said he could replace it but I hate go without it that long

You're looking at having to change the system board. Might be cheaper to get a used unit or a refurb. I might have an old one you can have. I'll need to look.

Is it just bad focus or dirty as hell? Looks like a couple of the contacts are messed up in the pic you posted. Staple covers some of them.

How did you break that? I work with an entire team that uses MBP's and nothing other than screen-gate has been broken. Keep in mind these are mobile laptops that travel everywhere. If i had to guess .maybe you had it in a backpack or bag and it smashed into something.

Call Nortech in hammond. 985-345-7400, probably fix it for under $100.00. Most likely just need to replace the MagSafe board which is relatively cheap.
