My mom is looking for laptop for her work and to work from home.
Shes a college professor who will use it for grading, outlook, excel/word, and internet usage
I found this deal at my local Staples and curious if this will be ok for her?
Pros: i7, 8gb RAM(up to 16), 256 SSD, thin, good battery
Con: Its only (1366 x 768) Truelife LED-Backlit Display
she wont be streaming or editing so im not sure if thats a deal breaker for her.
Any advice is appreciated. Note: They also have the i5 version with same specs for $529

That's plenty for her needs. The i5 would be more than sufficient, if you want to save a buck.

Another Q
What do y’all think of Acer? Ive always heard to stay away. Others we are looking at are Dell and Lenovo
Also, how big of a deal is it to get full HD vs 768? This one is only 768. I would want HD but if she’s doing just email and word and excel, does it make a big difference?
