Issue with Google Chrome not playing videos | Update: FIXED

It will play the audio but I get no video. I have looked into extensions and there is no flash player listed but apparently flash player is built in with chrome
What's really weird is that like on YouTube ads before the video will play just fine then the actual video starts and it's back to no video just audio
I have tried several different sites including ESPN, YouTube, And CNN all having the same problem excepts CNNs ads don't even work right
I have uninstalled and reinstalled chrome with no change and of course rebooted the computer, im not the sharpest techie in they world so can someone please explain what the hell is going on here?
TIA

This is the issue that caused me to switch to using Opera. Glad I made the switch too.

Try settings, about Chrome, check for updates

Have you already tried to disable "Hardware acceleration" in your Chrome settings?
If not please proceed as follows:
On your computer, open Chrome.
At the top right, click More [=] > Settings.
At the bottom, click Advanced.
Scroll down to the "System" section.
And disable "Use hardware acceleration when available".

Chrome has had some buggy issues with updates lately. Check your version of chrome vs the latest.

Let me know if the second suggestion works. Got that from the Google products forum for someone with same issue who claimed it works
