Is a Samsung Galaxy A8 tablet good for streaming sporting events and other TV shows?

That and surfing the net would really be its only use. If you have better recommendations let me know. Really just looking for something cheap.

I have a 6yr old tablet that I use strictly for streaming. I can't image a new tablet won't work just fine.
