Recently my iPhone’s (7S) camera has been very shaky. I haven’t been able to take a picture in a couple weeks, and now when I open the camera, I can hear/see the camera shaking.

A little YouTube search taught me that putting a magnet near it will hold the camera steady long enough to take a picture, but I’m wondering... is there a less trashy solution?

Is it worth it to get the camera replaced at one of the iPhone repair shops / doing it myself or should I just buy a new one on Swappa or something similar?

I will likely just replace the phone, but if anyone has had any success in an easy solution, I’m all ears. FWIW I’ve noticed camera issues (waves) for at least 6 months now. Thanks

My iPhone 6s camera did the same thing. It’s really easy to the replace a new camera with the help of YouTube. But you must also buy the tool kit comes with the small screwdrivers & such around $10. I also used the tool kit to replace my battery one time. Just pointers use good lighting and a clean surface. I used reading glasses to help see those really small screws.

Buy a camera on eBay, along with the little thin sticky rubber gasket that goes along the outside edge of the phone to keep it waterproof and replace it yourself. Oh, buy an iPhone repair tool kit also.

You could take it to an iPhone repair place and get your butthole bored out, or just do it yourself. It's an easy task; just find a good youtube video, pay close attention to all the details in the install video, and get it done.

I replaced mine on a 6S Plus year before last. Fixing to do my wife's next week as soon as the replacement camera comes in.

Awesome I will just try to do it myself. I guess maybe the phone is a 6s plus. It’s a big screen but still has the port for the headphones.

I will try my hand at the repair
