I can’t seem to hold a charge for more than 6 or so hours and it’s getting frustrating. So far I have
-Turned off location services
-Enabled low battery
-Costantly close out of apps
Turned off widgets
All of this to no avail. The phone is 1.5 years old and I really don’t want to replace it if I don’t have to.

Go to battery settings and see what’s using the most.

Safari uses the most battery, but it’s necessary for work. Other than that, nothing is oven 10%

I’m not a heavy user, but my iPhone battery turns to shite after about 1.5years. That’s how they keep us the on that 2 year replacement plan.

iOS 11.1 will be fixing a lot of those issues supposedly

Just had this exact issue. I got so pissed off I went to Battery Plus and had the guy put in a fresh battery for $59. He said that the iPhone batteries usually start to degrade around 18-24 months and he thinks that is why Apple has the two year release cycle.

Something to try...
Hold down the power / sleep / wake button until you see "slide to power off".
Hold down the home button until the home screen appears.
This will clear RAM and might help your problem if there's a misbehaving app in RAM.
