iphone 13 question

Odd question I know, but it bothers me. When I open up my podcast app it keeps showing an open podcast on the bottom which I don't want to listen to. I power down my phone and restart it, but it is still there. Any ideas how to get rid of it? Thanks.

Power down your iPhone.
Throw it in the garbage.

I use Overcast for listening to podcasts on iphone. Seems to work better.
As for your current app. Could you just select a different podcast and listen to something else, or are you forced to listen to that one?
