Ideas on how to boost gps signal

My iPhone is having trouble consistently locking on to a gps signal in my vehicle. I have a front windshield with a solar coating that is causing the issue. Anyone know of a way to boost the gps signal inside the vehicle so the iPhone can stay locked on the signal?
