Humidity Controller for Crawl Space

Home and Garden Board said I may have better luck here. Long story short, I've got a big box fan in my crawl space (middle Tennessee) connected to a one of those GE Cync plugs so I can turn the fan on/off from the GE app. No real moisture issues - just like to have the air circulate to try and prevent any issues in the future. It has actually been working pretty well so far (last spring/summer).
I have a cheapo thermostat that measures humidity. The part that senses is underneath the house in the crawl space, and I've got the screen in the house where I can see the readings. I just turn the fan on/off based on the humidity level.
The downside is that whenever the batteries die in the gadget under the house, I have to get under there and replace them. I'm looking for a humidity sensor that I can plug in under the house. Ideally, I could also plug my fan into the sensor and it'll automatically kick on/off based on what I have set it to.
Does anyone know if the item below is comparable to what I'm looking for? Also, it's set to be compatible with dehus, but do you think it would work the same for kicking the fan on/off?
ETA: I know with the item below, I would no longer be able to see the readings in the house on a screen. But that would be obsolete if I could have it turn on/off based on a humidity setting.
TIA

My first thought was just to hardwire your current device with something like this.
I would get the sensor that works in the Cync app. I'm not familiar with the app but I'd assume you could have the plug turn on and off when the humidity gets too high or low enough.
Unfortunately it's also battery operated so you'd have the same issue.
