I can cast YouTube, but the watch espn app does not have the cast button. How do I get it to work on my Vizio? SmartCast or Chromecast?

Does your Vizio have apps? If not, go get you a FireTV or Fire Stick, or a Roku.

That cast feature only works on certain apps. WatchESPN isn't one of them.
You'll need a streaming device like Apple TV or you can stream WatchESPN on your laptop and hook an hdmi cord from your computer to your tv.
Best bet is to go get a streaming device.

I have an Android but I can cast from my phone(watchespn app) to my TV via Chromecast. If Chromecast is on same wifi connection as your phone you will see the cast icon on the ESPN video when you play.
