Hisense TV with Hisense Soundbar Lagging Issues

I have a Hisense TV and got a Hisense Soundbar. Both of course are budget devices. I have it hooked up through HDMI-ARC, so I can control the volume on it. While watching cable, it will start lagging after a while and never catch up. Is that common? I didn't know if it was because it was a cheap TV or cheap soundbar or both. If it was the soundbar, I'd consider gettting another brand.

Chinese data collection sucks up bandwidth.
