Help with Mac OSX Mission Control please

this is driving me crazy, and I cant find the solution, hopefully someone here can help
I have 2 screens and at any point and time 2 to 3 various programs with 6 to 7 windows open between the 2 screens.
I use Mission Control (F3) alot to switch between various windows I'm working on simultaneously. If you're familiar, you click on the window you want, and it brings it to the front of the stack, and you keep working.
However, for whatever reason, MS Excel, and ONLY MS Excel will NOT stack on top of other running program windows out of Mission Control. It always layers behind mail, browser, calendar, etc
is there anything I can do? thanks in advance

nope, thats not a solution really
at any one time, of all the various windows open, 1/2 will be various MS Excel spreadsheets. I should be able to hit mission control, quickly locate the spreadsheet, and click it to the forefront of my screen

Wish I could help. Seems like it is a common problem.

What version of office are you running?
Office 365 has better functionality than some of the older versions. The older version on my laptop won't use the split screen feature.

2011 I think
this is an Excel specific issue for some reason
Office 365 is not an option for me in my job

I usually do the hot corners to do that functionality.
What if you add desktops and keep those programs in there?
I have 3 desktops, but you can more.

Why not?
doesnt 365 require internet connection?
It's not uncommon to find myself on the job with my laptop with no wifi, no cell service for extended periods

I use hot corners more often than not as well
assigning desktops doesnt solve the problem, I tried that
I figured this has to be a mission control issue or setting, not an Office setting. Well shite, I guess I'll have to live with this bug.
