HDMI Splitter Recommendations

I recently purchased an Azulle Byte3 mini pc for my home theater. The issue I'm having is my tv is a 2014 model year non-smart tv that does not recognize the HDMI signal from the pc.
I believe this is occurring because the pc is sending out HDCP 2.2 (a form of anti-piracy security) to the outdated tv and there is no "digital handshake" between the two. I've read where you can use an HDMI splitter to "strip out" the HDCP signal. Have any of you had experience with this? What kind of splitter would you recommend for me?

Before trying that, I'd try hooking the PC up to a video output that you know will accept the signal, to rule out anything else.

Yes i’ve tried that with a newer monitor and it works fine. So no issues with the hdmi cables
