Duplicate iPhone contacts cleanup

Any recommendations on a good contact cleanup for an iPhone?
Through backups after getting new phones over the years, I now have 4 or more separate contact for each individual contact. Due to business clients along with family and friends it would take hours to do it manually.
Any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have a specific software recommendation. But to get you going, you are probably dealing with vcf/vcards which is really just plain text structured a certain way.

I'd use primitive text editing tools but you can try searching something like "vcf duplicate cleaner".
