As someone who is FAA licensed and who has their own business and that flys ONLY DJI Drones, what NA said is spot on.

Yep

As someone who also got a part 107, being a licensed professional drone pilot is pretty fricking easy to get and it makes me laugh someone is using that as their qualification to give recommendations. His resume shooting movies is a better qualification. However, most hobbyists that fly racing drones often are far superior at piloting than “licensed professional” pilots that never touched a FPV drone. The part 107 is not a sign of a good pilot. Just can take a test and pass it.

DJI drones are stupid simple to fly and hard to crash unless you are being a dumbass. People recommend them for a reason. The cheap arse Amazon drones will just aggravate people.

Someone mentioned the holy stone earlier. Has anyone tried them and can give an honest review? I know you get what you pay for but last year I bought an akaso action camera and the video quality really did match my wife’s gopro 8 for $200 less. The real difference between them was the app quality and the gopro was more user friendly. This would be my first drone, mainly to use when we take trips.

Just curious OP, if you ended up getting a drone and if so, which you went with.
