Does hard wiring Amazon TV to router help?

I know the answer has to be it does. I'm trying to find out if there is a noticeable difference. Running a Sony 4K with nothing taking up any bandwidth.
Connected via WiFi right now and not experiencing any lag but don't know if I've losing any picture quality.

what is your bandwidth on your internet connection, and what kind of wifi router are you running? I have a 150 mb down 15 up connection and get almost as fast a connection with the 5G channels on my routers, but the 2.4G channels are a lot slower than wired.
