Does anyone know if an AT&T sim card will work in a Straight Talk prepaid phone?

I was looking at buying the Straight Talk prepaid Moto G6 for $179 from Walmart and just put my current AT&T sim in it, but I'm not sure it would work since it isn't the "unlocked" version and is the Straight Talk version instead...do any of you know if this would work?

Don't think you can unlock the ST phone.

I just called Straight Talk customer service and simply asked them and they said it would work and that their phones aren't locked and you don't need an unlock code. They said the only thing I'd have to do is let AT&T know so that they can update the phone in their system.

If anyone else is interested, I went to my local AT&T yesterday and also verified with them that I should be able to just put my current AT&T sim card in the Straight Talk phone and it should work perfectly. I am going to buy the phone and see...I'll report back. It's $179 at Walmart for the Straight Talk version or $249 everywheres else for the unlocked version.

For those that were interested, it did NOT work. The AT&T store rep even tried to manually unlock the sim card lock, but no luck. Going return it tomorrow and I'm just gonna bite the bullet and buy the unlocked version.

Correct. Doesn't work. Buy att prepaid at Walmart and you're good.
