Does "Agentic AI" just mean, "don't follow directions?"

I put an agent to work last night updating the deprecated vod2strm plugin so I could update my movies and shows for Jellyfin. It broke around Dispatcharr 0.25 or 0.26 but I just noticed last night when trying to do a refresh.
My only instructions (stage 2) were:
"See progress.md, this plugin still does not work. Plugin is deprecated and Dispatcharr is a live repo so please only modify the plugin to match Dispatcharr/Plugins.md template if not already matching and troubleshoot whatever bugs still exist. Do not modify Dispatcharr."
I check it in the morning:
To rebuild patched image after Dispatcharr updates:
```bash
cd /tmp && docker build -t dispatcharr-patched:latest .
cd /srv/arr && docker compose up -d dispatcharr
```
That was 140M input tokens, 90% Cache, 300k out or like $160 if I were using GPT5 (I was not). I'd be pissed if they weren't free, but now I'm just going with it.
edit: putting everything in /tmp is a head scratcher. It's all there though, already patched and running perfectly when I woke up.
