I have an app I'm trying to get off the ground and I need someone with the right skills to help me get it launched. I've hired marketing firms in the past but that hasn't worked out too well for me. Is there a company that would help me with my product and accept payment from commission?

I'm not trying to be cheap, just need to get results from the money I spend.

No.

You need an SEO expert more than they need you.

How do you measure success? Commission deemed by you or a 3rd party? For instance, reputable sites would give a monetary value rank on your current state and a new value as you the change/improve. If someone were to increase your value by 60k/month would you split the improvement 50/50?

If you’re technical enough to build an app, you can do SEO.

But to answer your question, maybe you can find an independent who will take that deal.

I’ve looked into the idea of SEO experts working on commission, but it’s pretty uncommon since it’s hard to measure results in a way that’s fair for everyone.

Odd old thread to be bumped. I manage SEO, A/B testing, web strategy for a company that does more than $50b in revenue annually.

Basically SEO on commission doesn't exist to my knowledge.

I'd question...does the SEO have to pay for content production? Do they have to pay for website maintenance and development/engineering? Do they have freedom to make large UX changes/decisions Does the SEO get paid from both brand and non-brand traffic? How is attribution possible since "keyword not provided" back in 2011?
