Digital camera

Anyone have a recommendation on a digital camera for a 17 year old and where a good deal is.

Digital SLR has evolved so much. You have to choose your path now as Canon and Nikon lenses are not compatible with each other.
Both are the staples in the game. I’m more familiar w Canon. The EOS Rebel is a good entry level option.
Lenses will drive your cost. Tamron makes Canon compatible lenses at a lower price point. That was my first wide angle zoom lens.
The entry level cameras will not shoot action shots very well as the frames per second will not be high enough.

Narrowed it down to the T7. Which lens would you recommend to go with it for a beginner? Just will be taking amateur pictures nothing professional.

The 18-55mm is going to handle standard photos. If you want to add a zoom, look at an 18-200mm which will give a chance to reach out some while learning.
