So would you recommend spmc over kodi on a note 5? I've read just a little bit today and from what I've read it seems like there are note advantages to spmc for Android over kodi, would you agree?

I haven't seen that yet. I sub'd for another 3 months and my account says good until 10/2/17, so I am in the clear for a bit. There's a really friendly admin on there who usually helps with my questions who added that time on there.
Apparently I was using a UK server this whole time and last night he switched me to an East coast US server. Haven't had a problem since.

I have no idea but if it means anything SMPC was created for Android.

Just downloaded spmc on my phone and took about 7 minutes to figure out what all the buttons were for..loaded fusion just like kodi, so apparently that's all the same as far as what you can load and how you load it. It's faster to me.
