Crackling audio from laptop

I have a Thinkpad, and for a couple months the audio crackles. Tried updating the drivers. I bought a soundbar thinking there was something wrong with the built in speakers. It's all audio, not just a certain source. It's driving me fricking nuts. Anyone have any ideas? I've tried all troubleshooting I could find on the internet.

That happens with my external speakers for my desktop. Its usually loose or bad cables. Could be a short. Try playing with the audio cables.
