Chrome mobile grid layout again after update

Got a chrome update today on my phone and this time can't get rid of the grid tabs. Anyone else? I set it to off in flags but no good.

I had this problem too. There are other related things you can disable as well.
Also, the grid layout may be disabled and still show, but then you enable it again and reload and that will fix it (I know enabling it to disable it makes no sense, but I didn't code the damn thing). Then set it back to disabled.

Go to this thread and scroll towards the solution at the bottom. I set my phone's about a month ago,band (knock on wood), they are holding.

Looks like I'm out of luck. At the bottom of that post it says can't be disabled for some.
