We get terrible reception inside our house...can anyone recommend a in-home cell booster? Do they all have to be mounted on the outside of the house, or do they make one you can just plug in? Also, do these have to be registered with your cell carrier in order to work?

Search this board as there were some decent suggestions in a thread over last month or two. I installed a Hi Boost at friend’s farm house and it’s helped out tremendously. Before the booster install, they had no cell reception in the house.

Do you have WiFi calling turned on? Your phone should jump over to your WiFi network when you’re home. It would work perfectly then.

Yes, I have wifi turned on and still can't make a call hardly. I have an android and my wife has a iPhone and we are in the same boat

Not just Wi-Fi - “Wi-Fi calling”. This is different that just being connected to Wi-Fi. I’m not sure about android but on the iPhone go to settings - cellular - Wi-Fi calling and turn that on. I’m sure android has a similar setting.

you can get a microcell based on your carrier that plugs into your home broadband. If you make enough complaints about no signal in your home the carrier might even give it to you.

Android has wi-fi calling and it is turned on. I was wondering if they made something you could just plug in and didn't have to mount the pole on the outside of the house.
