My iPad mini 2 is reaching the end of its lifespan (updated apps are becoming not compatible).

I had the Nexus 7 back then, and it was a wonderful tablet, but it was broken by my then 1yr old son.

So, what are some good budget friendly droid tablets that are out right now?

Is there anything like the Nexus 7 out there?

The Lenovo tablets are pretty cheap and I've never owned a bad Lenovo laptop. Don't know if that's helpful but I imagine the tablets are pretty good.

Amazon has a 7, 8 and 10 inch tablet line that are based on Android 5.1 and are cheap but good. Unfortunately, Amazon walls off users from the Google Play Store opting to provide their own apps.

If you'd rather stick with a more stock Android Samsung also offers 7, 8 and 10 inch tablets.

Got this Asus recently to replace my son's ailing Nexus 7. Pretty happy with it.
