Bluetooth question -Android to car

So, I have a question, I haven't found an answer too yet.
I use just a generic music player on my S21+ from the play store.
Let's say I'm listening to music on bluetooth ear buds, and I'm done, and I recharge the ear buds and swipe the player off on my phone.
I go and get in my truck and as soon as it starts and the screen boots up, it immediately starts playing the music from my phone with no prompting from me.
Am I missing a setting that auto plays, or am I not somehow closing the media player correctly and it reconnects to another device and starts automatically?

In your Bluetooth setting under your car, you should be able to toggle auto play on/off

Will check this. Odd, it doesn't show my car under android auto on my phone, I will have to explore a bit more. Thanks.
