Bluetooth headphones won't connect to new Dell laptop

I got a new laptop but I cannot for the life of me get my bluetooth headphones to connect and play sound. It says they are paired but don't show up as an audio option

Make sure they are not connected to your phone. Try turning off blutooth on your phone.

Go to Control Panel > Sounds and see if it shows up as a playback device.
